  • Participants will understand the neurobiology of emotions and the relationship between our emotions and our behaviors

  • Participants will explore multiple frameworks for self-regulation, with a specific focus on self-compassion

  • Participants will explore their social identities, social positionality, and socialization to locate their role in the larger push toward racial and social justice

EQuity Webinars

EQuity’s workshops are rooted in social-emotional learning, exploring racial justice, and diversity, and inclusion through the lens of emotional intelligence. Our catalog of webinars provides your organization with customizable, right-sized learning opportunities. Explore topics below for potential as standalone learning, or integration into a lunch and learn series, organizational offsite, orientation, or training series.

  • Microaggression training has become ubiquitous in the diversity, equity, and inclusion space. In general microaggression training, our discomfort with race can mean shying away from racial microaggressions.

  • During conversations on diversity and racial justice, white men are often talked about, but not effectively talked to. Using our signature social-emotional learning model, we hope to explore the emotions tied to racial justice for white men and support them in using their positionality and power for progress.

  • Identity-based discrimination is an assault on personhood. It oftentimes leaves invisible wounds. Unhealed wounds inhibit life, and we all deserve to live a flourishing life.

  • Western culture has prioritized and valued the logical over the emotional. However, culture can’t deny biology. Humans are emotional beings, and we have to understand our whole selves to address the work of inequality.
